Fault and Vices
The opposite of a Virtue is a Fault, vice, or weakness of character leading to bad behavior or a bad habit. They usually have negative effects on our lives and others around us. The following is a list of some faults.
Aggressive: Forceful, hostile.
Agitator: A person who creates dissension.
Anger: Exhibits hostility, wrath, rage or ire.
Apathy: Lack of interest, concern, or feeling.
Arrogant: Being boastful or having insolent pride.
Betray: Disloyal, to divulge or discuss information.
Bias: An inclination that creates poor judgment.
Boastfulness: Exhibiting pride in possessions or attributes.
Boisterous: Loud, noisy and unrestrained.
Brash: Repulsive in speech.
Careless: Negligent.
Covetous: Unsatisfiable desires to acquire.
Cowardice: Lack of courage, weakness when facing danger.
Cynicism: An attitude which is scornful of the motives and virtues of others, believing that ideals are unattainable.
Deceitful: Gives false, deceptive, or misleading impressions.
Denial: Rejection of circumstances, or refusal to comply with doctrine or belief.
Dishonest: Insincere, lack of truthfulness.
Disobedient: Rebellious, insubordinate.
Disrespectful: Focused on oneself, discourteous, rude.
Disturbed: Agitated or distressed.
Frivolous: Unnecessary extravagance.
Hatred: Extreme divisiveness, animosity or violent dislike of a person or group.
Heartless: Without compassion
Hypocrisy: Insincerity.
Impatience: Self-centered, inability to endure irritation.
Indifferent: Don’t care one way or the other.
Indiscrete: Having limited self-control or self-discipline.
Indiscretion: Rudeness, impropriety.
Inept: Incompetent.
Insensitive: Impervious to others feeling.
Intolerance: Bigoted, irritable, unable to endure.
Irresponsible: Undependable, unreliable, untrustworthy.
Lazy: Resistant to putting forth effort.
Mean: Causes deliberate harm or trouble.
Mercilessness: Hard-hearted, insensitive.
Narrow-minded: Bigoted, unable to consider other viewpoints, intolerant, prejudiced.
Opinionated: Holding stubbornly or unreasonably to a point of view.
Pessimistic: Negative outlook.
Prideful: Self-absorbed, arrogant.
Promiscuity: Indiscriminate in sexual relationships, immorality.
Provocative: Seeking to stimulate attention inactions or attire.
Reckless: Disregards proper caution.
Ruthlessness: Cruelty or inhuman actions.
Secretive: Withholds information.
Selfish: No concern or thought of others, only with oneself.
Short-tempered: Easily moved to being angry.
Stiffness: Rigid, inflexibility.
Stingy: Tightfisted, miserly.
Stupidity: Lacking good sense or judgment.
Thoughtless: Inconsiderate.
Treacherous: Untrustworthy, prone to violence.
Unforgiving: Intolerant, unwilling to pardon.
Unfriendly: Not pleasant or open to friendship.
Unkind: Rude, harsh, cruel.
Unreliable: Wavering, not trustworthy.
Unsympathetic: Unfeeling.
Unthankful: Unappreciative, ungrateful.
Untrustworthy: Not dependable or worthy of confidence.
Wasteful: Disregard of usable resources.
Weak: Not strong in leadership, or some other qualities.
Wicked: Evil, likely to cause harm.
Worthless: Without dignity or honor.
