While in Dayton Vi and I attended bible studies. It was there that I met Chris who made me aware of Karen Homan and the Do-Good restaurant. He shared another of his close moment stories with me recently.
The people who love Jesus by Chris Bramlage
“I was involved in the Healing Ministry at Incarnation Parish in Dayton. I received part of my training in Jacksonville Florida at the Christian Healing Ministries. Before each training session there is a time for praise and worship using Christian music. At one session the song I Speak Jesus by Charity Gayle (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcmqSfr1ENY) was being played. Most of the people in the room had their hands raised above their heads praising God. It was then that I had a brief glimpse of heaven where everyone in the room was clothed in flowing white robes.”
Chris said, “I recently shared this experience with Carleen, who heads up the healing ministry in Dayton. Since they too start with music for praise & worship, she suggested they use that same song before their next evening of healing prayer. Carleen asked ‘Chris, do you think we should all raise our hands while we sing along?’ To that I responded, “I think we should”.
“While the song was playing, one of the fiercest prayer ministers, Lilly, arrived late. After the song finished, I noticed that Lilly was in tears, and so I asked what was wrong. Lilly turned toward the back of the prayer chapel and, pointing upward, said “When I came in Jesus was floating right up there, all in white with His hands extended saying, “These are the people who love me.”
Catholics, in comparison to some other Christian faiths, are not usually very demonstrative during worship. It may be that God is looking for more from us than just folded hands.
If you have not done so already it’s time for you to watch and listen to the song on YouTube. Touch the link above.
